Lord of comfort, hope, and love,
Give my heart a song;
A song of radiance and cheer
As I march along.
Help me to sing a joyful song
For those bowed down with care;
A song of hope and freedom
For those in dark despair.
Help me to sing a valiant song
For those who mope and sigh;
A song to stir the hearts of men
'Ere I shall pass them by!
