Invoice No. 21: Eldorado -

" In sunshine and in shadow "
" chêng ming "
— for Poe and Pound
Persistently persists persistent rain.
Or shine. I'm not concerned. Just so something
Trustworthy can continue to remain
A moment. Millisecond or the Ming.

They say, " When rain and sunshine run together
The Devil's beating his wife. " Why? They say,
" A ring around the moon means wetter weather. "
Running on so about rain, who are they?

Water, in one way, is the present; tears;
The gilt-edged lunar lacrimae of Mrs.
Scratch; or laughs to come, cloud-unbuilders:
Or brown strong god-Godiva-diva. (Distress.)

Bright figments persist as a dynastic line.
The Minh in " Ho Chi Minh " means Ming , or " shine. "
