Kilnaughton Bay

From the black rocks
Whose shadow with the waving water swings
A heron squawks
And floats away on widely-flapping wings.

Lighthouses wink,
One winking slowly with a blood-shot eye;
Stars rise and sink
As, seeking light, earth whirls from sky to sky.
