Late Fall

My troubled eyes induce sleepiness,
but free, I am somewhat broad in spirit.
Facing the pond, I assign myself characters;
drinking sake, I am set to three cups.
With frost, oranges have grown ripe,
chrysanthemums abloom since the festival.
My nephew's sons recite the Analects ;
sometimes I help them with several lines.
