Laura. The Toyes of a Traveller. Or. The Feast of Fancie - Part 3, 21
Laura is faire and cruell both in one,
And borne was of a daintie Diamond:
Then is it mervaile neither wonder none,
Although her hart as hard as stone be found.
Nature that hardnes (as a Keeper) gave
To her, her Beautie thereby so to save.
But fond is he, and simple in concaite,
That thinkes Love will not one day burst the same:
Then quickly (mightie Lord) quickly this breake,
Breake thou this stonie hart so hard in twaine,
Unto thy power let Natures force still yeeld,
And be thou Conquerour gainst her in field.
