the legacy of Romanticism

the legacy of Romanticism

Something happened to Plaster and Rock
Subdued and replaced by Cow and Clock
Propelled by agenda of want and Fame
A-political Love, anything but the same
Da Vinci, Delacroix, The defamation of Christ
Aesthetic and Beauty your sacrifice
I will be left on a rooftop with wanting gaze
Upon faces and places Bin confusion and craze.
Of want of modernity consume and drive
Oil and silk make me feel alive
But a cliffhanger I am on a Sunday in December
And a day of ignorance, I beg to remember.
