The Magnolia Enclosure

WANG : The mountain receives
the last rays of autumn:
Flocks of birds follow
the first flights
A flash of emerald
flares out from time to time.
The darkness of evening
has nowhere to rest.

PEI : From the vault of light
at the going down of the sun,
The voices of the birds
mingle with the voice of the torrent
The path beside the stream
winds into the distance;
Joy of solitude,
will you ever come to an end?
