Martialis Prophetizans

Martialis Prophetizans Lib: 7. Epig: 10 To Olus and the Owld Cause

Harry was Sick and Martin Lame
'Twas the Owld Cause procurd the same
But what is This to Thee or me
'Less the New Cause smell Sovranty
Richard Adresses Thousands had
Yet at the Length He's poor and sad
Lambertus in the Day doth feast
Whilst Night Sport sutes his Consort best
The state to Cittisens much owes
Guive not nor lend a Mite to those
But what to thee doth most belong
And which not rightly stated's wrong
Thou Owst a loyall debt Owld Cause
To vindicate our Broaken Lawes
And to restore again to Health
Neath Soveraigns sway this Commonwelth
 Else All betroth'd Pretences are
But Prostetutes to men of warr
And the the Issue of such power
Will be the Cause must pay the Dowre
I many times mought recken ore
Owld Cause what rests upon Thy Skoar
But that (Exempt from power) I leave
Both what Thou guivst and dost receive.
