Martiall Lib — 7. Epigram — 38

Whilst Celius can noe longer hear
The newes-transporting-Babbeler
Nor yet enduer a morning spent
In entertaining Complement
For this or that Great person: He
Faineth a gout-infirmety
And better truth for to disguise
His sounder feet with bands he ties
And seems to goe in pain, as far
As art may prove a Cripeler
Til she to nature turns at last
And soe in earnest Celius's fast.
