Speak of sadness and our home is ready for it definition;
Poverty, malnutrition, diseases,
early mortality and child abuse.
This journey took us not much but silence;
the words we couldn't speak
at a cost of the penny shoved into the back pocket of our trousers,
the truth that never took a journey in our throat
cause fear became the pest that consumed our courage
and the ignorance that sold us to men of power
without accounting for our human value.
