Merry-Go-Round

BOAT-RACE , National, Derby—so do the festivals pass—
Ascot, Wimbledon, Henley—water and turf and grass.
Eton and Harrow, and Hurlingham; the Oxford and Cambridge match;
Then we are off to Cowes again to sit on a reeling hatch,
To sit on a reeling hatch and talk of top's'ls and tacks and tons;
Then the Twelfth and the heather step, grouse and gillies and guns;
A fighting salmon; a royal stag; a partridge or two—that's that—
Then, hey! for a scarlet coat again and the string in your hunting hat!
International Rugby next; the last of the pheasants; and then
Boat-race, National, Derby Day—and away we go round again!
