To my unspotted fayth I may compare

To my unspotted fayth I may compare
the daynty gartyer which yow gave to mee
Whose pure white doth pure faythe declare
such was that collore woonte off yore to bee

The pleasaunte flowres embrodred on the same
of my attyer the ornamente and grace
Are eglantynes and [lyllyes] for your name
which flowres more lyvely florish in your face

Butt as the same aboute myne arme I bynde
and tye a knott that sometyms slypps and slydes
Then saye I straight a diffrenc here I fynde
for of my fayth the knott still fyrme abydes
