Nero

Nero
in no time again the summer comes
your tongue
your eyes
the way you napped
now clearly come alive before me

you knew only about two summers
I have already known eighteen summers
and now I'm remembering various summers, some mine, some not
Maisons-Laffitte summer
Yodo summer
Williamsburg Bridge summer
Oran summer
and I wonder
how many summers have human beings known already?

Nero
in no time again the summer comes
but it isn't the summer you were in
it's another different summer
quite a different summer

a new summer comes
and I'll go on learning various new things
beautiful things, ugly things, things that encourage me, things that make me sad
and I'll question
what on earth is it
why on earth is it
what on earth should I do

Nero
you died
going alone far away so no one could know
your voice
your touch
even your feelings
now clearly come alive before me

but Nero
in no time again the summer comes
a new infinitely broad summer comes
and
I will still go on walking
to welcome a new summer, welcome fall, welcome winter
welcome spring, expect yet another new summer
to know all new things
and
to answer myself all my questions
