Then Courage! friend, and with me face the years,
Struggling with bigotry and pride and hate,
Praying for courage to proclaim the truth,
Sharing each other's light—there is no other,—
Seeking the good, the gracious larger mind,
The thoughtful, timely, genial word and deed,—
The light of Art, the voice of high Romance,—
To make this beast a man, this hell a heaven!
