The Number of days is, all together

The number of days is, all together,
of nights, nine,
and of days, ten.

Across the heavenly Kagu Mountain
the long-necked swan flies like a sharp sickle.
Your arm slender and delicate like the bird's neck—
although I wish to clasp it in my embrace,
although I desire to sleep with you,
on the hem of the cloak you are wearing
the moon has risen.
