Our Ship Comes Home!

Heed not the darkness and the rain
There grows a passion in the gloam,
There speeds a purpose through the seas —
Our ship comes home! Our ship comes home.

Within my living soul I know
Our ship shall save us once for all,
But should it split on rock or reef
Besieged with breakers: let it fall.

As fits the ship of a man's soul,
Heaped with the slain and wrecked and red,
But flying flags at every spar
And on the prow a woman's head.
