The Parrick

Within the parrick in the lew,
By high-shot elem-trees a-bound,
Where wind drough upper boughs did goo
But hardly zweep so low's the ground,
By bough, by cow,
Wi' pail an' stool, when wind wer cool,
We zot in parrick in the lew.

An' there as evenen sheädes did vall
Vrom elems in the western rank,
Or else as moonlight vrom the tall
Stemm'd trees did reach the eastern bank,
By ledge, by hedge,
We then did walk, or zit in talk,
Within the parrick in the lew.

Where bright by day the grass do look,
Where cool the sheäde do veel at noon,
Where dark is still our sheädy nook,
Where peäles the groun' below the moon,
By brook, or nook,
Why I could do wi' only two
Within the parrick in the lew.
