Resurrection

Against a sunset gold and red
A crucifix upon a hill
Came a Blasphemer grinning by
And on the figure worked his will.

He set his own hat on the head
And a rude pipe all coarsely graved
Then screamed the priests and ran, “the dead
Is risen and the world is saved”.
