To the Right Honourable, John, Viscount Kenmore

In honour a conserver of the Land,
O my Maecenas you full well may stand,
High who although you are, not Idle beene,
Nobly about the noblest workes are seene,
Garding the countrey you have gor'd the foes,
On which true valour in you nobly showes,
Rayes of true vertues you so well display,
Doubtlesse therewith you gore your foes away,
On gore them still although you be on high,
Nobly so be your Countries gard thereby.
