The woods and seas at odds
To Goddises and Gods
Appeale
For a precedency in Commonweal

Venus the Offspring of the Flood
Commands the Whistling winds to play
And t'Curle their Liquid way
Whilst woods
And Groves
Blest with Dianaes Skill
On the sharp mountain Top or Hill
Prove the Retirements for Sacred Loves
Neptune with's Trident Anger showes
And then Each Triton his Shell Trumpet blowes
'Til all the Mayne become
A Froath and Foame
Yet through the Loadstones Ayde
Sylvanus will not be afrayd
Whilst Love is such
But wher Dianaes Quiver guives a touch
In skorn of all tempestuous waves and seas
Will Bowldly venture on all Passages.
