TheoD Bezae — Epigramma — In pontem Gardi
Greece sung of Hills on Hills that heaped were
Of Pyramids rude Memphis bosted her;
But's more thou seest; two Mountaines made to joigne,
Whome th'Arches of a trebble Bridge combine
And'ts more than that t'have made a stream to run
Over a streame (of Nature so t'have won)
Again it's more, that he who did this frame,
Contemning praise should here suppress his name.
Though what's done admiration doth require
Yett what's left undone I doe more admire.
