Classic Poem

To Thee dear Lord from out this War we cry!
Guard us, protect and bless us from on high.
Give us Thy strength and make this conflict cease.
Then grant us, Lord, Thy everlasting peace.

Watch o'er our soldiers, give them strength to fight.
Our sailors bless, let right increase their might.
Be with them on the land and stormy deep.
Their homes protect, their wives and children keep.

Smile on our country, let us not forget
Our cause is just. We shall not then regret
The lives laid down, the sacrifice we make!
'Tis nothing, Lord, when 'tis for Thy dear sake.

Our Colonies protect and grant that we
A nation loving, fearing God may be.
Give us Thy strength and make this conflict cease.
Then grant us Lord Thy everlasting peace.
