The food bank's volunteers have packed the boxes, their cheeks red, their breath frosty, blessed Yuletide is here. It's a sunny and crisp Saturday, a long serpentine stretch of vehicles. As America gasps, she's saddened to see the hunger lines. Our mighty country cannot bear to hear the rumbling of her children's stomachs, her harvest of wheat and corn was reaped, how could this be? Arriving just in time ~ the Christmas bonus of frozen turkeys! The goodness of the abiding Lord multiplied the yield, the prayers of His people answered. The humiliation of the tearful parents were overcome. A bounty of sweet potatoes, cornbread, stuffing, cider, cranberry sauce, and varieties of pies were quickly distributed. This Christmas bonus is as golden as the Giver's heart, The smiles of the children filled with gratitude. The volunteers tired, but warmed by the Christmas cheer, and, one day, the people will hunger no more. ~

My everlasting gratitude, good friend. I love the generosity of many people, especially during the Yuletide season. There's so much in the news of tragic headlines. Yet so many good hearted people around the globe quietly do selfless deeds for others. Your tireless support is very much a warm and friendly altruism to me. I hope to write more about the goodness of many in humanity. May Your Christmas tide be bright and cheerful. From your friend across the pond. Regina
