Awaken dream

When the fog stumbles about drunkenly
and the wayward wind wanders pell-mell,
When a tale tells its untold tale,
Do you for me weep
when the night goes to sleep?

When I am dreaming of you
Do you dream of me too?
When I snuggle close to you
do you squeeze the pillow
a little closer too?

Like a forgotten saga
Like a half-written poem
          forsaken by the muse,
Like an eclipsed moon
Like a sun-scorched wilderness
Like the shipwreck washed ashore
Like the denuded trees in fall…
Will you desert me
when winter overcomes spring?
