But for awhile

It bloomed but for awhile, blossomed in half season then betrayed by a vapid Spring march.
Flower of utopia, poisoned by delinquent family roots,
stung by a wasp deep within its own nest,
robbed of vital nectar.

NB Spring as in Spring season.

This is a thoughtful and sad one, so well written MyNAh, It reminds me of the phrase written by a father about his son who died young...."He had a bright dawn, but a false one" Best wishes! Mary PP
