Bare Earth

by Iris H

Small specks, unnoticeable unless I catch a glimpse in your eyes
awakens me
In darkness' presence I am a naked body, embraced
I am a loved entity, warm
In the presence of light I am light
Gradually we sink to meet in a loving embrace
The sun, calm, a scorching blaze slips heavy into my cracks
But is beyond our border lines
A presence reflecting in your eyes far into the bare night
