The Clandestine Love

The Clandestine Love
-Perseplolis Sonnet

For months I know it's been a strenuous journey,
the path we traveled was rough, steep and thorny.
You wished and prayed for a sod or carpet laid,
yet we found ourselves dancing in trenchant blade.
Though clandestine, we promised to not refrain
from loving each other, we do not complain.
I still remember from not so distant past
you've promised me a love that'll forever last.

We shared glorious moments every day and night,
shared hugs, kisses and things that were intimate.
But all these were secrets we tried to conceal.
I may have no courage to conquer my fright,
but your love fuels your willingness to wait.
Perhaps this is the time for me to reveal.

Dear Poeter, In the secret world of the mind man stores memories of life. In the journey of life we all make mistakes in some way; But, some are correcting; Many live without realizing it until the end. When the mind thinks of memories in the laboratory of loneliness the wounds of time present to man frustration and pleasures smile. When dreams of tears play with the mind, the desire for life is shattered like a broken glass thrown by stones. Nevertheless, until the last moment man loves life despite the mental pains. This poem really impressed me. All The Best My Dear Friend; Write More Congratulations
