Piling on items to my shopping list as quickly as they flash through my gray matter
Awaiting the latest updates from the team coach
Checking the local scores again
Congratulating friends
Sending support across the sands of time
Preparing for the booming storms
Shooting words over waves across the rural acreage; blatant laziness
Grabbing snapshots of the day that will be gone too soon
Setting reminders of endless to-dos
Avoiding jammed up traffic; just slowing the pace
Showing off photographic memories
Searching for lyrics that seemingly vanished
Putting a bandaid on the boredom
All of this and so much more
Yet I can do none of it
Making me feel more than helpless
For the tiny rectangular box that holds my life was somehow left behind
What a sad state
