Day of the Light

The Day of the Light,
Dusk has retreated to its chamber.
How long will it slumber?
I’m weary of the incessant fight.

The Day of the Light,
The mind finds a tranquil flow.
Will time, in this moment, grow?
Will it fully rest the tendrils of the night?

The Day of the Light,
I’m ready for the catch of the day,
Before sudden changes bring shades of grey,
With little ado to bring delight.

The Day of the Light,
The meadow is beautiful in the daylight bloom.
Goodwill emerges from the gloom,
Serenity guides me as I write.
