The dying deer

Run dear, run, far from here, run
My little fawn, your friend is gone

Lured in, was my innocent one
strayed away, was my arrogant one
they still lay in wait,
with their deceptive bait
Run dear, run, far from here, run

Looking into the hunter's eye,
I made a plea for my little one,
With a wicked smile,he let the arrow fly
For me despair, for him fun
Run dear, run, far from here, run

Sorrow got me, then, the next arrow
Run dear, run, far from here, run
