Graveyard

Unruffled and calm,
Nothing stands to harm,
The voice of the wind is heard,
Its symphony seats in the mind.

Some had tales to be told,
That didn’t see the light,
They were those who put their aspirations on hold,
They were saddled with a lot to fight.

Here the brave and the bold lie,
Here the faithless ones cry,
Dreams archived in their deepest chamber,
Lost in their slumber.

Here our beloved ones are separated from us,
Snatched by an unseen force,
They are laid to rest,
No more caught in life's tempest.

Its gates are open to all,
When we heed the final call,
A call that is inevitable,
It comes to the frail and the able.
