I SEE SHADOWS
I SEE SHADOWS
Whenever and wherever I look, I see shadows
That they all hide so much, reveals even more
Ideas, not always facts, slipping into darkness
Penumbra the cloak, and full shadow the mask
Yet so often, as if thought accidental half light
They’re merely ignored, and ignorance prevails
But if willing to share secrets, have much to say
Of what goes on unnoticed, however important
Sometimes a silence betrays willingness to speak
If only someone were to listen and take notice
Yet bright light makes them not grey, but black
And in extra contrast, almost unapproachable
But I have made it my mission to probe deeper
And finally, to better understand every shadow
