How do you disguise atrocities
make people consider the unthinkable--
with words.
Words that say living space
but mean dominion and holocaust.
Words from sharp-cheekboned charlatans
slutting themselves to stoke the savagery.
Where are the words that kick us in the shin
that wake us from our sybartic slumber?
Where are the words
that save us from ash and rubble?
