The Plight of Wonder Woman
They thought I was Wonder Woman
And they may have been right
Except under my glitzy surface
My superpowers were my plight
Almost no one has empathy for the loner
All they see is someone who’s different
Although there’s much excitement in superstardom
My life lacks one thing everyone needs
I only wanted to be human
So I could enjoy a real life
Constantly being in the spotlight
Only caused my ego much strife
Every female yearns to be Wonder Woman
But they don’t understand what the role requires
To be supremely idolized by all and genuinely loved by none.
