A song I wish revive

Its tune mingled in static,
A rhythmic thrall so gleamy
With a cadence soft and dreamy;
But at last I could not have it.

For its beats were tangled mazy,
Its vowels it drew out long,
With inflections sung so hazy,
I could not hear its song.
Its rhymes I never found,
But lingered so profound.

His song was sung by lakes with tunes I found enchanted mythic,
The balance and its hum
A cadence loved by some,
With such ethereal lyric,

Had sunk my conscious down,
And swept my plight away,
It left without a sound,
It had no more to say.
If I could just that song revive,
Then such a song could yet survive
