A spell slowly broken

A spell
has broken
from around me.

I hear
it crashes off in chunks
and splices off in strips
and pieces
crumbling and revealing
revealing light, warm blasts of air and crumbling.

I can see different
people and my relationships
are another way.

My breath is felt
with my body
down
into tubes I had forgotten
let fresh air through.

Light as a night moth
bright winter sunshine
piercing and shying away.

I feel relief as
a distant dog's barking across a lonely field.
A sonorous, melodious, vibrating bell close upon my body now.
My teeth are clickity-clack
reset, I made love
for a first time today
thanks to
 the night.
