Walking Contradiction

I’m a dreamer, yet I’m wide awake,
Taking in the world around me,
Trying not to miss a thing.

I’m a perfectionist, but also invite chaos.
The more chaotic my life is,
The more I’ll try to put it back on track.

I have a wild imagination,
It can take me places, show me ethereal sights.
It doesn’t stop me, though,
From standing firmly on the ground.

My head can be found
In the clouds quite often,
But even then my mind stays sharp and alert.

I can be gentle as cotton,
Be soft as a petal and
At the same time harsh like
The coldest winter storm.

I’m fragile as glass, bound to break
At any given time.
Still, don’t let it fool you,
It’s only like that on the surface.

I know how to find my strength
In the toughest of times.
I can rise up from the ashes
Like a mighty Phoenix.

I am all and at the same time
Nothing at all.
A walking contradiction is
What I would prefer to call it.

Dear Poeter, The human mind is a temple that carries secret memories and feelings into thoughts. Here, as night and day alternate, pleasure and pain divide man's life well. The life we live as we travel the path of search seeks to transform ourselves into a human being complete through experiences. This life day has taught me some memories like snowdrops sleeping on flowers and some experiences like leaves falling on the ground. This poem really impressed me.
