Ginsberg is best known for "Howl" a long poem about self-destruction. Check it out he had a very colorful life.

Hi Volsebnik,
Thanks for the interview. There is indeed a lot of nice material from/about Allen Ginsberg available.
However, I would like to set the record straight about Howl. It is not about self-destruction.
Ginsberg in an interview confessed that he wrote the poem to impress Jack Kerouac and that the poem itself is dedicated to Neal Cassady. If a poem has to be about one single thing the most, then Howl is a poem about love.
I'm really glad you took interest, I would like to hear more from you on the subject. My impression was completely different, and it was a hard read for me. Honestly what I would really love is to see your review :)
Sorry forgot the link :)

And here is a link for those who prefer hearing over reading, but keep in mind to make a clear impression its best if you read it yourself. Nevertheless here is "Howl" read, with subs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lM9BMVFpk80
