Invisible Grace

I am weak and must be tortured!
The swallow that flew
In his peaceful grace …
O God, take my soul I forfeit
Like the bird that vanished
In space!

A cloud is my home; the body in conscience
Is born in a weary clime,
While I trail along
In restful barrenness,
Void of self, song, and time!
