The Hunt

1.

When you undressed for me
It was light striking a mirror
And your beauty glanced off when I approached
And the image in the glass withdrew into a blur
As if it were a white flower closing

2.

But how can a man have either girl or flower
Out of a looking-glass

3.

The air was cold
and I slow to dress and leave
Having no street to ask for
Not even knowing your name
