In Memory of Sokhares

After the death of Sokhares, Limos hung his belongings upon this tamarisk bush: a wallet; the hardened, untanned skin of a goat; a staff still in its casing of bark; an uncleansed oil-flask of leather; a dog-leash untrimmed with brass; and the cap that covered his impious head.
