The Hall of Endless Mirrors
In the hall of endless mirrors
I see an angel walk alone
And though her mouth curves like she’s smiling
Her fragile wings are chained by stones
In the hall of endless mirrors
Is a child no one has known
Her porcelain fingers hold a diary
A man’s forgotten that he owns
In the hall of endless mirrors
Rattle the skeletons without bones
Their hollow sockets gray and open
Where eyes once lived so long ago
In the hall of endless mirrors
Remains a haunted broken throne
A queen’s golden short lived power
She didn’t realize was on loan
In the hall of endless mirrors
Lurk all the selves you’ve tried to hide
Careful now, don’t let them touch you
Or you might join them all inside
