“What I Asked GOD For”
By Mrs. Tammy Morris
I asked GOD for love and he gave me users, abusers, takers, stalkers, and backstabbers in order for me to learn to love myself first, to seek him first before all else, and to appreciate those who are already showing me the
exact kind of love that I desire.
I asked GOD for durability and strength and he temporarily gave me his most unappreciative and difficult people to please just to make me stronger and more appreciative of my own blessings.
I asked GOD for wisdom and acuity and he gave me other people’s problems not to solve but to offer encouragement, share my experiences, and remind them that prayer still works.
I asked GOD for prosperity and he gave me the necessary educational tools to gain financial knowledge and the drive to be successful at anything.
I asked GOD for constant protection over my family and he allowed me to witness him spare my daughter’s life in a road rage shooting on 9/11 out of all days. Won’t He Do It!!
I asked GOD for comfort and he held me close and didn’t let me fall when he called my mother and grandparents home without my permission (not that GOD needed it anyway).
I did receive EVERYTHING that I asked GOD for and I received it just how GOD wanted me to receive it. I saw EVERYTHING GOD wanted to show me. I have endured EVERYTHING that I ASKED GOD to ALLOW me to endure. I ask GOD to heal those that I personally couldn’t reach, protect my family and I, forgive me for ALL of my sins, and I pray that the weapons still forming continue to not prosper.
Now, it’s time for me to re-direct the focus back to me and my relationship with GOD because it’s personal. I suggest the world does the same while the clock is still ticking in your favor. I have no regrets in “What I Asked GOD For” because I know what type of GOD I serve. Do You?
