Starry-eyed child gasps
Christmas Day magic sparkle
mom, pop’s hearty beam
sight for sore eyes telescope
silver moon gift I’ll cherish 

Dreams of  outer space
exploration from my home
no longer idle
worlds that seemed so faraway
just a stone’s throw wondrous peep.

NB  A Tankasy is a new form of Tanka invented by me to the best of my knowledge.
Tankasy as pun on fantasy with dream quality as default.
