Is andheri kothri men utar aayi roshni
Phir kisi ne aaj kholaa band roshandaan
Ek boodhe naujavaan ne kyaa bhari hunkaar
Jaag utthaa hai ki jaise saaraa Hindustaan!

Translation:
Here in this dark cell
enters a ray of light~
Someone has opened
the shut window again

What a clarion call comes
from a young oldman
It's as if the whole of
India has arisen!
