Arab Traveler in a Space Ship, An

Scientists and Technicians!
Give me a ticket to space
I've been sent by my sad country
In the name of its widows, its children and its aged
To ask for a free ticket to the sky
I don't bear money in my hands … but tears

No place for me?
Put me at the rear of the ship
Outside on top
I'm a peasant, used to all that
I shall not hurt a single star
Nor offend a single cloud
All that I want is to reach God
In the quickest possible way
To put a whip in His band
That he may rouse us to revolt!
