Ballad of the Icondic

It was the year the ICONDIC
was sighted (hush, my pet,
for it has slewn the GAWNOSE WATT
and it is slewing yet).

It was THEOLGARD shook its head.
THENOOGARD likewise its.
And having knit a BITTAPPEASE
they raveled it to snits.

" Now what shall save us? " ICONDIC
cried out, as if in thought.
" O gird about your gat, set out
and slew the GAWNOSE WATT! "

The GAWNOSE WATT it slew and slew.
Was never seen such slewage.
And GAWNOSE WATT went up the spout.
And GAWNOSE WATT went down the sewerage.

I only know the ICONDIC
slewed on and still is slewing.
(Now sleep, and may you dream just what
the GAWNOSE WATT was doing.)
