Beside the river—mdash;waterbirds, in the river—mdash;fish

Beside the river—waterbirds, in the river—fish,
and a favorable wind, blowing my boat lightly,
as if I were sailing the sky.
In the midst of happiness, the boat springs
an unexpected leak:
ruining my books, old and new—what a terrible shame!
