Blowing Away

Blowing away — blowing away —
All the small troubles that make the sky grey,
Cobwebs and shadows and dust of the day —
Blowing — blowing — blowing away.

Blowing away — blowing away —
Ashes of roses and scent of the may,
Ghosts of old sorrows and wraiths of regret,
All the dead flowers that cling to us yet.

Blowing away — blowing away —
The leaves of last summer are blowing away,
Anguish and discord, doubt and dismay —
Blowing — blowing — blowing away.
