Canoe Song

Sing, Boys, sing!
Down the tent and baggage bring.
See her seams are rozened tight,
For we'll start at morning's light,
And we'll sing: —
Oh, here's to the paddle!
To the dogs with the saddle!
And to tug on the oar
Is a bore!

Sing, Boys, Sing!
Off the laughing ripples fling
From the paddle, flashing bright
In the breezy morning light —
So we sing: —
Oh, here's to the paddle!
To the dogs with the saddle!
And to tug on the oar
Is a bore!

Sing, Boys, Sing!
Swift we fly with fin or wing
As we paddle or we sail.
So in silver calm or gale
Will we sing: —
Oh, here's to the paddle!
To the dogs with the saddle!
And to tug on the oar
